Established in 1972, Premier Electrics is the leading, independent, domestic appliance repair business in the south of England. All of our repairs are performed by engineers employed exclusively by us – we do not franchise or outsource our work. This means that we are always totally accountable to our customers for the provision of consistently high levels of service. Our team of fully qualified engineers will repair most types of domestic appliance including washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers, dishwashers and cookers. We understand that these repairs are nearly always urgent and so we provide our customers with same/next working day appointments.

WHO ARE PREMIER ELECTRICS REPAIRS:

Premier Electrics (established in 1972) are a family-run, domestic appliance repair and retail business operating across the South of England. Our supreme standards of service have been recognised by the trade organization RETRA and Trading Standards ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme.

WHAT DOES PREMIER ELECTRICS REPAIRS DO:

Our team of fully qualified engineers will repair most types of domestic appliance including washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers, dishwashers and cookers. For a complete list of all appliance types and makes we repair please go to the booking page.

DO YOU UNDERTAKE EMERGENCY WORK:

We are often able to arrange same working day appointments. If you require immediate assistance then please call us on 0800 592107 to ascertain availability.

GAS APPLIANCES:

Please note that we make repairs to electric cookers, ovens and hobs. We are however unable to conduct inspections or make repairs to gas appliances. If you are unsure if your appliance is dual or gas fuelled then please contact us on 0800 592107 to discuss.

WHAT DOES THE INSPECTION FEE COVER:

We charge £69.99 for an engineer to diagnose the fault with your appliance. The engineer will provide you with a written quotation for repairing the appliance which includes the cost of all replacement parts, labour and V.A.T.

WHAT IF MY APPLIANCE IS NOT WORTH FIXING:

In this situation we will just charge you the inspection fee of £69.99. The engineer will also be able to advise you on possible replacement appliances which we can supply and install (Premier Electrics are authorised Bosch, Miele, Siemens and Neff kitchen appliance dealers).

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE MY APPOINTMENT:

This isn’t a problem. Just call our help line on 0800 592107 to rearrange a more convenient time. We do however ask that customers give us at least 12 hours notice to avoid being charged for a missed appointment.

WHAT IF I MISS MY APPOINTMENT:

Unfortunately the customer is charged £15.00 if they miss their pre-agreed appointment with our engineer (a failed visit fee). This fee is however refunded when the appointment is rearranged and the engineer’s inspection subsequently takes place.

WHEN AND HOW DO I PAY:

We ask that you make full payment to the engineer (at the time of the appointment) using cash, debit or credit card (excluding AMEX/Diners Club). Unfortunately we are not able to accept payment by cheque.

IF A REPLACEMENT PART IS NEEDED HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT:

We carry a large amount of stock on-board our vehicles. This enables our engineers to normally fix your appliance on our 1st visit. If however we do have to order a replacement part for your appliance then we will aim to return and complete the repair within 3 working days. It should be noted that a minority of replacement parts are quite rare and can take longer to obtain. In this situation our engineer will advise you on the work schedule accordingly.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I HAVE BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT:

Once an appointment has been arranged you will receive confirmation by email of the time and date of your visit. You will also be designated a unique customer number for future reference. If you would prefer to arrange your appointment over the phone then please call us on 0800 592107 to discuss further.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT:

To arrange a cancellation we ask for at least 12 hours notice prior to the scheduled appointment time. This can be done by email or by calling us on 0800 592107.

WILL MY REPAIR BE GAURANTEED:

Unlike some of our rivals Premier Electrics provides a 1 year parts and labour guarantee on all repairs as standard. In the unlikely event that a replacement part fails within the guarantee period, we will supply and fit a further replacement part for no additional cost. The repair guarantee does not however cover breakdowns caused through customer misuse or error, for example blockages or obstructions in a pump.

 

Method of payment

Naturally, before long Premier Electrics developed a progressive domestic appliance retailing business which operates along-side the repairs business. We know these products intimately, every nut and every bolt is familiar to us and we are always happy to talk to you about which model best suite your needs.
